Wrist + Hand Institute is a private surgical practice which operates out of private hospitals in the Perth Metropolitan area.
Patients are required to have private health insurance including hospital cover or be covered under a workers’ compensation claim to be eligible for treatment by our specialists.
Consult Fees
Initial consultation is $200 (Medicare provides a rebate of $78.05).
Further consultations are $120 (Medicare provides a rebate of $39.25).
Please note payment of your account is required on the day of your consultation.
We can submit your account online to Medicare for processing of your rebate with a valid referral. Referrals are valid for 12 months from the date of first use if issued by a general practitioner and 3 months if issued by a specialist.
Surgery Fees
The surgery fees vary according to the procedure. We will provide you with an “Estimate of Fees Agreement” prior to your procedure. (Please note, in emergencies it is not always possible to provide this Agreement prior to surgery).
WHI surgical fees are covered by your private health insurance and Medicare. Depending on your level of cover, you may receive accounts for additional expenses associated with surgery (i.e. the anaesthetist, the hospital etc.).
Please don’t hesitate to contact us prior to your appointment if you require an estimate price of fees.
WHI accepts payment via credit card, EFTPOS, cash or cheque.
Cancellation Fees
If you’re unable to attend an appointment please call us as soon as possible to reschedule.
Repeated cancellations with insufficient notice may attract a cancellation fee.
